History

This institution began functioning as a high school in 1948 under the patronage of the Manarcad St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Cathedral and was elevated to the status of a Higher Secondary School in 1998. At the time of the introduction of the Higher Secondary section, the school was under the management of Very Rev. Abraham Corepiscopa, Karimpanathara. At present, the institution is managed by Rev. J. Mathew Manavathu Corepiscopa.

The first Principal of the Higher Secondary School was Smt. Annie Kurian Teacher. Subsequently, educators including Mrs. P. K. Aleyamma and Mrs. Jessy K. M. also served in leadership roles. Currently, the academic and administrative activities of the school are led by Sri Soji Abraham.

The Higher Secondary section comprises four Science (Biology) batches, one Computer Science batch, two Commerce batches, and one Humanities batch. The school is supported by a dedicated team of 30 faculty members and 4 non-teaching staff. A total of 799 students are currently enrolled across the Plus One and Plus Two classes.

Along with academic excellence, the school places strong emphasis on character formation and holistic development through value-based education. Students have achieved commendable results in sub-district and district school arts festivals. In addition, the school actively participates in science exhibitions, mathematics fairs, and various academic and co-curricular programmes, earning notable recognition.
